After the fire GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Garrard County Food Pantry is a “total loss” following a fire that occurred on Sunday morning.

 Co-director Angela Cash said about 100 donated Thanksgiving meals, including over 100 turkeys were destroyed in the fire.

 Although firefighters arrived on the scene quickly to put it out, the structure was destroyed.

 “At any time, any one of us could be in need. And I’d like people to respond at any time,” said Fr. Sichko.

 Lancaster Police Department announced on Facebook Sunday night that the suspect had been arrested.

 Cash told LEX 18 that the arrested individual was one who came to get food frequently. Cash says he does not want people to vilify the woman arrested but that they should pray for her.

 The Pantry will continue to help those in need, despite the loss of their entire building.
